The hisory of the future

Great companies start small while crafting a grand vision for the future. Maxxis too had a humble beginning in 1967, manufacturing bicycle tyres in Taiwan in the name of Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co. Ltd. We soon became the largest manufacturers of bicycle tyres in the world.

Over the past five decades Maxxis has spread its tread marks into new markets offering products for motorcycles, ATVs, lawn & amp, garden products, race karts, industrial vehicles, trailers, autos, light trucks, trucks and buses. With new factories and distribution facilities, we have spread our operations to Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Japan, Dubai, and more recently, India and Indonesia.

ridding the indian terrain

Maxxis Rubber India Private Limited started out its own business wing in India in 2014. With a 400 million US dollar investment, the company set up its first manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Currently the plant manufactures two-wheeler tyres and aims to come out with its entire range in the near future.



Since 2015, Maxxis Rubber India has been selected as the Original equipment tyre supplier to Honda Activa 3 G, India’s top selling two wheeler model. We are also the proud suppliers of tyres to a range of Honda motorcycles and scooter in India since we began the India operations.

Our strong commitment to quality and close relationships with our partners and stakeholders has garnered tremendous amount of faith and goodwill for us and our product. We continue to innovate to forge ahead on every terrain this great nation has to offer.


Much like the tyres we manufacture, our Original Equipment philosophy comes from the heart too. We believe in fostering close relationships with our original equipment manufacturers and nourish the bond by providing high end Research and Development Centres in Asia, USA and Europe to ensure and evolve the best tyre products. This commitment has earned us notable awards from giants like Ford, GM and Toyota.
