Maxxis Tyres conducts Blood Donation Camp at its manufacturing plant in Sanand

~The camp witnessed donation of more than 100 units of blood~

Ahmedabad, Dec 3, 2018: Maxxis India, a sub-company of Maxxis Group, one of the world’s fastest growing tyre companies conducted its 2nd ‘Blood Donation Camp’ in association with Indian Red Cross Society and HDFC Bank at its manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The camp was conducted to raise awareness about the need for blood donation and encourage Maxxis India family to come together to contribute to the society at large. The drive witnessed active participation from 115 employees, who volunteered to donate for this noble cause and efficaciously collected 108 units of blood. 

The camp was conducted to spread awareness for the need of safe blood and join hands in the noble cause of ‘Gifting Life’ in the form of blood donation. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Alen Liao, Head, Human Resources, Maxxis India, said, “Being a socially responsible organization, we believe in creating resourceful channels for the society.  At Maxxis, we take pride in contributing to the society through the noble cause of blood donation and are overwhelmed to see the whole-hearted response from our employees, second year in a row.”

The camp was organized in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, a voluntary humanitarian organization committed to providing relief in times of disasters and emergencies and HDFC Bank. Maxxis India had also organized the campin December last year, where the employees had collectively donated 78 units of blood. 

The Sanand facility is spread across a massive 106 acres and currently employs a workforce of 600 employees.
